What Is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of being aware without judgement.

Noticing your thoughts, noticing your emotions, noticing how you are holding your body, noticing any sensations that might exist.
Without judgment. Without naming. Without labeling. Just noticing what is.
Why would we do this?
A mindfulness practice helps to build consciousness. Most of us move through the majority of our lives unconsciously. Meaning, we are not rooted in the present moment. We are either preoccupied with the past or concerned with the future. We are rarely ever in the only place that really exists, which is THIS MOMENT. This moment right now. And now. And now.
Mindfulness helps us to live consciously.  Living consciously helps us to be free.
